PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: I finished the bible this week... so yeah TOO many spiritualness to put into one letter
TUESDAY: SERVICE projects all week. Big one was definitely painting the Bishop´s house and they let me pick the colors. RED and BEIGE just like mom. Our old investigator Maribel literally called us wanting to have a lesson with us and we found her sitting on the bench ready to progress with her book of mormon and pamphlets marked and studied. Super weird but super awesome. Ended the day with Daniela talking about the standards of the church because she wants to be a FULL FAITHFUL member.
WEDNESDAY: we literally decorated a Christmas tree with a Jehovah´s witness doing service for some investigators and he happened to show up. If you didn´t know, they dont celebrate Christmas and think its actually a sin. So it was a big deal for him to help us out. Showed a little interest but its a long road. Finally found Francisco who honestly told us that hes been ignoring us not wanting to do it anymore but after our persistence, he feels that we really care for him and have the faith he can change AND HE IS FULL OUT PUMPED to be baptized January 7th. Ended the day seeing Harumi about personal progress and she is so stoked for her baptism and is already attending mutual. Golden girl.
THURSDAY: COOLEST was finally doing CIBER MISIONAL where we get everyone to go on facebook and pray specifically who could accept the missionaries and IT WORKED PERFECTLY. We got 20 references in 20 minutes. SUCCESS
FRIDAY: literally I kid you not, we walked for 12 hours straight without a single lesson. WITHOUT A SINGLE LESSON. But the blessings will pay off in the future.
SATURDAY: Made a cake for Francisco for his birthday and ran around all day inviting, reminding, and helping get ready for the Christmas dinner activity. WHICH WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS. 14 of our investigators came and 120 people came in total. SUPER great night, had 3 piñatas, acted out the Nativity with the newly engaged couple acting as Mary and Joseph and I ended the night singing Breath of Heaven translated to Aliento del Cielo. AMAZING NIGHT with MANY MEMORIES that I´m sure the ward will never forget.
SUNDAY: Primary program was super cute as always and we took advantage of the huge assistence of the ward and put post it notes of inspirational quotes in the seats which led to one of the BEST ward councils weve had. Weve been planning a ward activity for a while but have been praying a lot how we would do it so that the ward leaders would create the idea instead of us. Yes, you could call it Inception. And so we came to ward council saying we have an idea but dont have all the parts set up. Explained the plan of salvation and how we want the people participating to pass through the plan of salvation and understand WHY we need to follow Jesus Christ in this life. AND WOW HOLY COW, everything just started THROWING ideas out. We just sat back and watched and ate popcorn practically. The activity has grown into something SO SO cool. The bad part is that they are now planning to have it the week after transfers so WHO knows if we´ll both still be here but I´m just so glad that the WARD came up with the full idea and are driving full force forwad to accomplish one of the most unforgettable nights that theyll have.
INCEPTION accomplished. I felt like Leonardo Dicaprio getting off the airplane just shocked and overwhelmed with joy, how FINALLY the Lord was able to act through us to help this ward get to where its at. I wish I could stay here and be with this ward all my life. Theyve become family. Weve worked hard together to get to where were at and were now fully loaded to change the wward for even better.
LOVE YOU ALL. Yes I have just about two months left in the mission BUT IM NOT DONE YET. The lord I´m sure has PLENTY of stuff I can do to help in this marvelous work. HELP ME OUT AND SHARE A MORMON MESSAGE OR SOMETHING. DO IT AND DO IT NOW.
