WEEK 72: THE PURGE

for those of you who have not heard, we are in a social crisis revolution here in mexico and it is very intense and people are breaking into all kinds of stores and rebellion and total hunger games status in the steet BUT we are safe and sound (lol taylor swift) and the mission has us protected.

But seriously it is like the purge movie status here. SUPER cool but super sketch.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: D&C 78: 17-19, Mosiah 5:13, Alma 22:16, James 4:6,10, Alma 5:26, Alma 14:6-13

I forgot my agenda so I really cannot remember much of what happened with the craziness of transfers. BUT I am in a new area Cholula Ometoxtla. with HERMANA MORRISON AMERICANNNN. so stoked for our time together and were practically opening area here but super stoked to hit the ground running. havent had baptisms in about a year so setting many goals and buckling up!

well some points of the week that were great.

Had an amazing lesson with a new investigator named Carlos who in the beginning was not interested AT all. but after using and reading the inspired questions of the Lord in the new testament he opened his heart and allowed the spirit to change him IN THAT VERY MOMENT. he recognized who we really were and what our message really was and accepted us to continue teaching him and go to church! AMAZING.

The same thing happened with Francisco who in the beginning was not progressing at all, but after bettering our teaching methods, Hermana Maya and I, we were able to teach in a way PERFECTLY simple for him and he has humbled himself and we have set small medium and large goals with him and he is set to be baptized February 18th now!

Thursday is when havoc wrecked and we were not able to leave the house for certain problems with malls closeby and people robbing but the Lord has us protected. Mom please dont freak out. But luckily instead of being locked up in the house all week, we were able to leave a little to work and it was a blessing to find Isaura, a reference from the North mission who went to institute and expressed ¨I have FINALLY found the churchI have been looking for! ¨Shes planning to be baptized February 3rd. (:

Ending my time in Universidad, had an AMAZINGLY intense last lesson with Ernesto and Eli, parents of Harumi who still havent gotten married and Ernesto is still not doing anything for his divorce, the inspired questions we used humbled him VERY quickly and it was almost as if we could read his mind and the spirit was telling us EVERYTHING we need to say. We left that lesson just in shock as if the Lord was there and overwhelmed with joy to know that Ernesto now has plans to finally be married so that Eli can get baptized.

I also passed one last time in testimony meeting and actually said sorry for bearing my testimony so much in every testimony meeting but I cant help it. I LOVE TESTIMONY MEETING. But I shared the one thing I learned from my personal study in that day-

And Alma said: Be it according to the will of the Lord. But, behold, our work is not finis hed; Alma 14:13

I shared it with the ward with ALL that is happening , socially, physically, spiritually, it depends on us if we are going to ACCEPT the Lord´s will. But whatever that will is, we HAVE to keep working to finish it and accomplish it in the way HE has planned for us. These words were another one of those moments as if Christ was teaching me face to face and I learned so much from just these few lines. So simple but so powerful.

Hitting the ground running one last lap before ¨my work is finished¨ But the Lord still has plans.

SOOOO ADELANTE.

LOVE YOU ALL. book of mormon challenge is still a thing so keep going.
