WEEK 73: THE PATH TO HEAVEN RUNS THROUGH MILES OF CLOUDED HELL

so this week was with a ton of miracles but with deffinitely some rough spots.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: Luke 6:36, Hebrews 10:32, Isaiah 40:28-31, 41:13, Alma 32:39, Alma 29:6,9, and the whole chapter, Alma 33:14, Mark 9:17, Alma 36:25,

TUESDAY: SOOOO were opening the area and its basically dead. Hasnt been a baptism here in 6 months so bringing a lot of enthusiasm to get the ward pumped and help us out. But of course Satan is working a lot too and had our bathroom literally explode day 1... and by explode im talking RV movie toilet scene explosion so it was disgusting and instead of focusing completely on the work running, weve had to deal with house problems BUT we moved so theres not a problem with that. BUTTT oh my goodness gracious our mission leader is from the heavens. The BEST mission leader I´ve had thus far in the mission (perfect way to end) and he shares scriptures he has prayed will help our investigators, has driven us to all of the investigators he feels could progress with us and is working hand on hand with Bishop to make this work. SOOO pumped.

WEDNESDAY: District meeting was the bomb because I GOT SEE HERMANA ESPINAL again. She has progressed a ton and has already been sister training leader and is also training right now. Hermana Mondragon. So yes, I have a granddaughter and I get to see them a ton being in the same zone! STOKED. Getting to know all the members and asking them for references a ton and gaining their confidence. Also met up with all the leaders in ward council making the ward mission plan! All I have to say is that this is a very animated ward ready for a lot of work. Well be seeing many miracles in this transfer!

THURSDAY: Planning session was SUPER effective as weve got a ton of ideas up our sleeves finding old investigators and some ward mission activites. Ate with bishops family who welcomed us with hamburgers and french fries... so you could say were on a best friend level now. Helped the young women practice a little for their musical number in church and got them all to come with us with one of our investigators Diana. So the youth are on board with us too now.

FRIDAY: I´m just gonna say we had even worse problems with the house and had to fix a ton of crap with that. lame. But finally got lessons in WITH members present. Found a whole family who makes bricks for houses and the mom and her son Jonathan accepted to be baptized. They have a lot of problems marriage wise. HEr husband beats her and is mad she got pregnant again and so she really is trying to become closer to God in this time and find peace. PLEASE PRAY for them. Elena, Jonathan, Maria, Giovanni, and Panchita. Also found the most recent convert who got baptized in July and SUPER awesome testimony meeting with him helping him remember why he got baptized and the importance to go to church. AND GUESS WHAT. he came to church on Sunday. Our only less active that came. BUT it was so awesome to see him there for the first time in forever.

SATURDAY: WE FINALLY FOUND A HOUSE. and whole cow it is the nicest house in the mission. A lot like the Father of the Bride house. two stories WITH furniture and everything a dryer and a washing machine. its like the celestial kingdom. But the best part of the day was finding a super inactive family of 5 years and having an awesome lesson with them and THEIR DAUGHTER whos 11 never got baptized. So she will be preparing to be baptized February 18th! Barritas family! Also pray for them.

SUNDAY: Church was awesome. The members are awesome. Made us a huge dinner of carne asada.... that Im so happy they gave us but its bitter sweet... because I got food poisoning and Ive been dying ever since. BUT its Satan working hard. BUT WERE GONNA WORK HARDER... even if Im throwing up every 20 minutes. But keeping the prayers going and we know that after the trials COMES THE BLESSING AND MIRACLES. So here we go hitting another week here in Ometoxtla!

Oh we also found a dog this week and right when we found him following us, Bob Marley music three little birds came on SOOOO his name is Marley. I´ll send a picture of him next week. hes a huskyyyyy.
