THIS WEEK WAS JUST AWESOME. This letter could last for pages but I´ll try to be short. WE DIDNT HAVE CHANGES! SOOOO happy. Christmas with a best friend and in an area that is FULLY prepared now for a TON of success.
PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: well... lost them. soooo thats sad.
TUESDAY: Had a fantastic lesson with Daniela on chastity (first time ever that the lesson wasn´t totally awkward) and she totally loved and understood why we live the law the way we do. She has already quit smoking and drinking coffee and is going to institute to make friends with members for a better atmosphere. AMAZING. Francisco also ON HIS OWN has watched the Restoration movie, general conference, and read everything from mormon.org. GOLD. Ended the day with a scare that our investigator Abril that was gonna get baptized committed suicide when coincidentally on the radio announced a girl committed suicide with the same description. After a week of calling and praying hoping it wasnt her WE FINALLY are in contact and it wasnt the same 15 yearold girl from Matamoros. BLESSINGS. Ended the day teaching Hayrumi who is TOTALLY progressing now, loves church, and has really connected with us and participates a ton with us excited to be baptized on Christmas Eve.
WEDNESDAY: last district meeting with lots of life-long friends (missionaries) that are going home. Some tears were shed but eternal friendships created. Had a lesson with Max where it just CLICKED with him what the plan of salvation is saying and is now preaching the gospel to all his friends telling them ¨DUDE GET BAPTIZED YOU NEED IT!¨ Yeah...basically. Daniela accepted to be baptized January 7th FOR SURE and actually prayed to end the lesson specifically that we would stay together to be with her for her baptism. HOLY COW PRAYERS WORK.
THURSDAY: OKAY this day was what made it the best. The Flores family actually made a full out Thanksgiving dinner for me for Thanksgiving. I DIED. Love that family so much. And to show our gratitude and love for the leaders of our ward, we cut out 110 stars for the 11 leaders in our ward writing attributes of each of them and went and ding dong ditched their door with notes of thanks. AND IT WAS SO COOL. The attitude of the ward is SO awesome now and I am so happy Im able to be here another transfer for it. Taught Miguel Angel who literally pulled out about every doubt in the book and after clearing everything up with the help of some institute students who are working with us a lot now, testified on faith and tears were almost shed from the spirit felt in that lesson. Met with Bishop also to speak on what we can do MORE to help him and the ward and his whole family and us are working together now and its GREAT.
FRIDAY: All our appointments dropped so we went looking for old investigators through old teaching records and LITERALLY relived what Dieter F. Uchtdorf shared in the general women´s conference. NOT UNTIL THE LAST TEACHING RECORD with every other person rejecting us at the door, we found a couple that has a been a little under a year were getting ready to be baptized but just didn´t have the desire to be married but have been to church a ton and LOVE everything and ACCEPTED TO GET MARRIED. Were hoping they can be a Christmas baptism as well. Ruben and Hilaria PRAY FOR THEM.
SATURDAY: A day full of running and moving houses ended with a miracle where we found Leon and Nayeli who are like that cheesy ¨hello¨ parody video where after knocking and trying to find someone to teach, they just accepted you in, listened with real intent, and gave us lemon pie at the end of the lesson. It was a joyful experience.
SUNDAY: Ward conference was great. Had 21 less actives in church and one especially came up, grabbed my hand, and just tearfully thanked me for my testimony and dedication to the ward and how she has been inactive for years but now truly desires to be active because she has felt a change in herself and in the ward. Almost cried so happy for her joy. The ward was just GLOWING with a light that another member commented that he hasnt seen in a long time. CHRISTMAS LIGHTS.. This message of LIGHT THE WORLD is just PERFECT for this time of year. ME being a person in LOVE with christmas lights and just lights in general, have really just taken this message so seriously and have desired to do everything I can to share it with others and light THEIR world with that light that they already have in them.
SO for that, today being P-DAY and the last day for many missionaries, Elder Hernandez, Creager, Stevenson, Read and us all got together for their last day and they brought a TV in middle of the biggest park in Puebla and placed 62 Book of Mormons and sharing the Christmas iniciative with EVERYONE we could see. The energy and environment was just something to smile at. People may think that would be crazy to do on your day off but I absolutely loved it and it was the best PDAY I´ve had yet.
