I just chose this title because I love my comp more than you know. Best friends and making a lot of changes in the ward.
PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: 2 Nephi 33:1-2, Moses 6:61, D&C 117:11, Psalms 141.10, John 15:7, D&C 122:7-9, D&C 123:17 FAVORITE FOR LIFE. D&C 130:11, D&C 135, and a bunh more.... but you get the idea. LOVE THE SCRIPTURES
TUESDAY: Fixed a broken down car and contacted them. Just imagine two sister missionaries doing this with their hands all blck and dirty. SERVICE. Felt the need to check on an old investigator and we found her in a tough situation that determined whether she would choose the christian church or the mormon church. SUPER powerful lesson on prayer and faith. Found our golden teenager Abril who could feel the spirit so strong in our first lesson together and has plans to be baptized November 10th! Miracle.
WEDNESDAY: District meeting was as if going back to the future status. Elder Hernandez, Waggamot, Creager, and I are all together again just like Atlixco status. Had a family night with Gilberto and Martha .... but some stuff has been going bad between them and looks like shes moving... sad.
THURSDAY: Planning session was operation DESTROY area book and reorganize the area of university BUT through doing it WE found 15 new people to teach. Craziest part of the day was helping a member communicate with BYU and I actually had to call the secretary to help organize her room. I COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. Us Americans here speak a different english and I could not understand her at all and half the time was talking spanish. If any of you know a girl Courtney at BYU that is the secretary at Centennial... tell her Im sorry for the confusion. FOUND ALEJANDRA AND AIME and set a new baptismal date with them and they are coming to church in a week after vacations! Found once again an inactive family named Bautista who for the first time in years, accepted us into their home and we challenged to read the whole Book of Mormon with them and they are accepting. Tania officially turned 9 today so went to give a cake and present to her also with the ¨heyyyyyy you still havent got baptized¨ and won the confidence of the family and they accepted she could be baptized November 26th! Ended the day teaching Samai about temples and she began to cry so excited to do work for her ancestors. AMAZINGGG
FRIDAY: Hermana Maya and I created a game to tell each other a word and have to use it for contacting someone in the street. VERY fun and sometimes almost dying of laughter from the awkward situations. But from contacting so much this day for the FIRST time in my mission got cussed out .... funniest thing ever. But the miracle at the end of the day is for the first time we had a lesson with Fernanda, a convert who is trying to go back to Catholic but we helped her REMEMBER the spirit and to REMEMBER her testimony. and wow, she promised to continue with the church.
SATURDAY: SUPER creepy experience but all is well. A man followed us in his car titled [BRUJA] or WITCH and got out of the car, called me by my name, looked me down head to feet and told me to keep walking.... we were very stranged out. Had a lesson with one of the old investigators we found in the area book and she said she was confused on the whole baptism thing and only didnt want to get baptized because she thought that meant she couldnt go dancing and couldnt wear tights. THANK YOU INSPIRED QUESTIONS. But after a good laugh and explaining what really is baptism and how we prepare for it, she gladly accepted to be baptized November 6th VERONICA PRAY FOR HER. Also ended the day introducing my companion to our bishop and his attitude working with us has COMPLETELY changed. He is setting training sessions with leaders and with us, allowing us to teach a lesson to ALL the members on Sunday to activate them in missionary work, and communicates with us on future plans he wants to do and what we think. Ended the meeting giving us a ride home with all his family. TRUST WON.
SUNDAY: SUPER effective day at church with talks that really got to the ward and everyone can FEEL the change happening. Weve still got a long way to go to get better, but MAN its so rewarding to see how people can change and REMEMBER what our purpose is here on this earth. INVITE OTHERS TO COME UNTO CHRIST. If you havent shared the gospel with someone this week, YOURE DOING IT WRONG.
Short and sweet. JUST REMEMBER who you are, what God wants you to do, AND JUST DO IT.
LOVE YOU ALL. Adelante.
