Yeah.... time is flying.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN I HAVE A NEW COMPANION AND IT IS THE BEAUTIFUL HERMANA MAYA WHO SINCE I SAW HER ON HER FIRST DAY KNEW WED BE COMPANIONS. Universidad better be ready for the bomb of pure awesomeness that is about to happen.
PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: ....forgot them. sorry
TUESDAY: well... woke up sick. almost fainted in the middle of the street and was fed pig skin to finish it all off. Received a blessing. And the next day BOOM healed. Miracle
WEDNESDAY: District meeting was full of feels ending this transfer with a KUMBAYA saying all happy and positive comments about every missionary... lots of goodbyes and almost-tears. Welll my comp cried... love her to death and sad I only could be with her for 6 weeks BUT thats transfers. Dropped Angeles... finally just accepted that it wasnt her time and we taught with the atonement of Jesus Christ that he told us the truth and until after he left us... we realized and believed. Hoping it works the same for her. Planning on returning in three or four weeks. Well see what the spirit says.
THURSDAY: Finally met with one of our recent converts, Gilberto, who has developed some strange beliefs twisting catholic and mormon beliefs together... lighting a candle beneath a mormon missionary card... stuff like that. So clarified the 10 commandments real good with him. Taught dear Samai the Restoration again and she told us how she has ALREADY shared the gospel with 9 of her friends after recieving the calling as ward missionary and is studying Preach my Gospel page by page... one of the most diligent members of the church I have met and she only has 4 days as a member. Crazy. Ended the day with a very intense lesson with the family whose son is about to leave on the mission... but we unfortunately found him leaving this house alone with his girlfriend when noone was home... super awkward. But we shared the video ¨STAY WITHIN THE LINES¨ and testified about the conversion that Hermana Consuelo and I both have had with repentance in the mission and how important it is to do it BEFORE the mission. Yeah, were gonna screw up, but DONT hide it. Let it go and fix it.
FRIDAY: SENT A BIG CHRISTMAS PACKAGE FOR THE FAM with the family in my ward that knows the Olsens in California with many letters... keep your eye out for it. I literally saw a pretty dog in the street and followed it and found its home, knocked to ask what the dogs name was, started a conversation and yupp. TUrns our he wants to know about the gospel. All dogs go to heaven. Also had our second mission activity in the ward AND I BROUGHT TRUNK OR TREAT TO MEXICO. Wow it was super fun and the ward loved it. So many of the same activities and kids dressed up in costumes. The stake now wants to do it next year big! YES. We had 9 NEW investigators come and all accepted a Book of Mormon and appointments this week. AWESOME.
SATURDAY: Samai is sincerely converted. She already has plans to get her patriarchal blessing. AWESOME. Stake Conference was amazing with a VERY powerful message and personal experience with tithing and a BIG talk on pure ENTHUSIASM once again for the members to keep pressing forward with their responsabilities in the ward.
SUNDAY: Stake Conference was full of SO many messages that I loved. Based mostly on trials and enduring them with happiness and joy and love, the importance of family and marriage... (that was a planch for me), and the importance of the sacrament. The best part of it all was that before the meeting, I saw a woman suffering from Parkinson´s disease and felt the need to grab her hand, smile, hug her, and tell her that God loves her. NO idea why, but I just did it. And turns out that his husband spoke on her in the conference and how she is an example of strength and endurance through trials and its been so hard for her recently but the gospel and the Lord have helped her get through it. I embraced her again after the meeting and we were both almost in tears. Such a simple but powerful experience I will never forget. Had dinner with the secretaries of the mission (literally food from the heavens) and then recieved transfers to be with HERMANA MAYA. SO stoked and we are both HUGE lovers of the work and within one hour, already established our goals for this transfer and what we have planned for Universidad. A LOT. So look out, a bomb of work is about to explode.
LOVE YOU ALL. Seriously you all are the best. Pray for you guys everynight. AND SERIOUSLY if someone needs to talk to someone, Im here to help every Monday. But the BEST part, our Heavenly Father is waiting to just have a private interview with us whenever we need it. SO DO IT.
( I forgot my camera... soooo no pictures unfortunately ): NEXT WEEK)
