Week 36: The Lord Wants Me to Staaaaay

That´s right, ladies and gentleman. I AM IN NEALTICAN with a NEW companion. Hermana Lopez from Sonora. SO happy and blessed to have a mexicana compañera now and someone who sincerely is INCREDIBLE with the spirit. She is an incredible missionary and we are going to change LIVES in this transfer.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: D&C 6:36, 2 Chronicles 14:11, 2 Chronicles 15:2,7, 2 Chronicles 16:9, 2 Chronicles 19:11, 2 Chronicles 20:12,15,17,20, 2 Chronicles 25:2,8-9, 2 Chronicles 29:11, 2 Chronicles 30:9, 2 Chronicles 33:12-13, Ezra 8:21, Ezra 9:8-10,15, Ezra 10:4, Nehemiah 1:9-10, Nehemiah 2:2-6 (LOVE this part), Nehemiah 4:20, Nehemiah 5:19

TUESDAY: Went to Zacapechpan to visit our old investigators to see how they were doing and some less actives and while eating some quesadillas from a less active, a man selling horses began a conversation with us and asked about the church. Accepted a Book of Mormon and right then and there began reading it. Gave us all his information to have the missionaries come to his house and went on his way. I hope all is well with him and that the reference gets contacted as soon as possible. During lunch, my dear member Hermana Cass surprised us with homemade cheesecake, my favorite. I literally love her. Went to a restaurant for dinner and let me just tell you. I feel SO awkward in normal restaurants and stores. Went to the mall yesterday as well and I could NOT feel comfortable. I am much more in love with dirt roads and tacos in a napkin. Visited a member as well who told us about her 10 year long disease she has that is causing her to die. Pray for her please, hoping they can find a solution.

WEDNESDAY: Helped the young women presidency of the stake learn a song for girls camp that I literally had to sight read right there, BUT it worked out and will definitely be a spiritual experience. District meeting was a great example of comparing our favorite sandwiches with our personal prayers. Favorite sandwich, HBC from Cafe Zupas... (: BUT the example was incredible because every prayer should be different personal and with love. Just like Spongebob made Krabby Patties (: Went to do service with our recent convert, Antonia, and very directly asked us WHEN are we going to teach her husband so that they can all be members of the church and they can be sealed in the temple. Being a VERY large sign from the Lord of who we need to be working on. And he has become our top priority. FINALLY found a less active for the first time in all my time here in Nealtican, AND she accepted us with love and Coke (: Came to church as well this Sunday!

THURSDAY: Antonia´s husband in our lesson with him accepted a fecha for the 14th of May! Had a very strong testimony of the truthfulness of our church and the changes hes seen through the gospel with his family. With faith and hard work, this man can be changed as well. Went around reminding our investigators about our future appointments with them so that they dont fall. A less active gave us two kittens to play with... one fell and hit its head... long story short, it died 5 hours later... but we got to name them! Bob Marley was mine... and well the other one Stevie Wonder... because after he hit his head... he went blind... sad. But hes in heaven (:

FRIDAY: Gloria, a new investigator for us, made us breakfast and told us her background of how her brother was also learning from the missionaries but died before he could get baptized. And welcomed us to come back to meet her whole family. AGHHH miracles (: Buried Stevie Wonder with our less active. Got SLAMMED by a reference who told us how much he hates our religion especially because he wasnt able to his own son`s wedding in our temple.... sad, but hoping that the Lord can soften his heart. Visited our top priority parents who still havent been sealed in the temple because the wife doesn`t want to be sealed for eternity with her husband... sad. But her husband asked me to translate a love song (All of Me) to Spanish to sing to her. Precious. Hoping that they can make the decision (: MIRACLE BEST TWO YEARS KINDA MOMENT... so if I didnt say it already, we havent had water for a week and weve had to bring up with a bucket every morning and night water from the first floor up 5 floors to take showers and go to the bathroom. Yes. It was awful. But immediately after saying a sincere prayer praying that FINALLY we could have water and have a great day tomorrow, an angel from heaven (or the husband of our dueña) screamed from the roof, ¨YA HAY AGUA¨ The joy was uncontainable. I have never felt so happy to take a shower. Blessings. Blessings. Blessings.

SATURDAY: Very slow day today as we were rejected and ignored by our references we attempted contacting with a return missionary... but we still are keeping the faith and trying with all our might to bring the world His truth. Also a very crazy day being Dia de los Niños here where basically its a day just for kids. I know, lucky. Too bad doesn´t exist in the USA.

SUNDAY: Testimony meeting was unforgettable for me as the end of this transfer finished, I was overcome with love and the spirit that I cried during bearing my testimony just trying to slightly express how much love the Lord has for every single on of us. Incredible feeling that I hope to never forget. Went to Zacapechpan to eat with Hermana Cass for lunch and she had two new kittens and guess what their names are? Creer and Gonzales (Gonza) with blue eyes... figures. But Cass asked us if we could come with her to visit the inactive member she has for visiting teaching. Gladly we went and had yet another spiritually full lesson speaking on the love that the Lord has for her, Alicia, specifically. We found out her husband died 6 months ago and that it has been so hard for her in this time. But now she feels more trust and love in us and we are going to continue working with her to reactivate her. ANDDD with miracles on top of everything, she has a daughter, Jaquelyn, that turns 8 on May 20th. And now, we are preparing her to be baptized. Perfect way to end a transfer. Along with a phone call from President saying Hermana Gonzales will be a sister training leader and the assistents told me I`m staying! (after I assumed I was leaving and packed all my things) LOL BUTTTT I am SO happy I have this opportunity to stay here once again. QUE MILAGROS. LOVE THE MISSION.
