yessss my birthday was this week in the mission. I OFFICIALLY HAVE ONE YEAR IN THE MISSION. And what a crazy week it was.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: Mark 9:17, Isaiah 55.9, D&C 42:48, Moroni 7.30, Daniel 3.18, jacob 2:8, D&C 82:23, Jacob 3:1, Alma 31:5, D&C 64:9, Matt 5:7, Romans 2:1, D&C 64: 8,10, Luke 6:38, Matt 5: 39-41, Romans 12:19-21, Matt 5:7, John 13:35, Romans 3:23, a ton of scriptures from Psalms

MONDAY: WE HAD A HUGE MIRACLE IN A FAMILY NIGHT. The Cinto Cruz family brought all of their family to the lesson and all 4 of them accepted to be baptized September 23! HOW AWESOME. Super spiritual lesson that started the week off with a bang.

TUESDAY: found three stray dogs in the street that were on the verge of death... SO we had three presents for Bishop as us and the elders went to literally construct a house with them for the Bishop. Then it POURED rain and we were soaked from head to toe. This luck began a train of events for being soaked in the rain the whole week. Taught Minerva and Alvaro about the law of chastity AGAIN and this time the excuse was, ¨I dont have a ring¨ So I ripped off mine that I had and gave it to him. And he picked a poem to say to Minerva and they have accepted to have a date night with us cooking them dinner and dessert and THIS NIGHT HE WILL PROPOSE. Total Parent Trap status. Had a SUPER spiritual lesson with Anaberta and Javier to resolve the drama that happened in an earlier lesson with my companion and Javier asked about my father and how my father teaches because he can tell I teach a lot like him and have matured thanks to his example. I almost started crying in that moment. Could never compare myself to my Dad. He is the greatest man alive but am very happy to have been given the comment. Saved her baptism and all will be well September 17th

WEDNESDAY: District meeting was very fun as we taught through ¨selling¨ the gospel. In this situation what would we do? Hermana Solis and I made an entire commercial selling The Bread of Life. The whole district was dying laughin of how AMAZING the gospel looks through a new creative way. Awesome lesson. Elder Winters went home. Sad day but hell do great things in BYU. Had another great lesson with the Cinto Cruz family watching Im a Mormon videos and really helped each of the members of the family understand that everyone is different. There is no ¨mold¨ to fit to be mormon. Its just who we are following Jesus Christs example. The bad part of the day is that the ward has been gossiping... a lot about our work and words are being mixed up and its hurting people. SO we called Bishop immediately asking to speak in church and asked us to speak with him Thursday night more about the situation.

THURSDAY: Worked a lot with Minerva today and helped her get to know a lot of the members in service activitys and SHE volunteered to make chiles enogados for all the Relief Society. SHE IS ALREADY A MEMBER. Then all of our appointments fell... and it POURED again. This time, we had no umbrellas, and no rain boots. And we were an hour away from our next appointment. So after my comp asked if we were going to go home, I just BELTED out singing Called to Serve in the street and kept walking. And together we belted out singing. Caught the attention of people hiding under a tienda umbrella and got some smiles and laughs. Sharing the gospel in the rain. The best. But felt the need to go see bishop still. So we went, he was casual at first askiing how the work goes and personally asked me why do I want to speak on Sunday on gossip and judging. So we entered his office, told him the situation, and Bishop COMPLETELY opened up to us. In tears he told us of how this has always been a problem and noone has ever said anything. We agreed to work together and testify and visit all the members TOGETHER and he personally would work with our investigators as well to be an example and show his love for the ward so they have more confidence in him as well. WE WON LOVE OF THE BISHOP. And wow, the change was immediate.

FRIDAY: MY YEAR MARK. Crazy. I dressed up like an elder considering we can wear pants now... so that was a good laugh for everyone. Ate with Mama Galleta and then went to teach the Ramirez family who ended up feeding us mole and showing us their garden of marijuana.... so yes that is the reason my title is Bob Marley. Our investigators are growing weed. How wonderful. But the worse part was that with the mole, they gave us half liter of coke EACH and my comp could NOT drink it so she begged me to drink it for her... so yes I ended up drinking a liter of coke within ten minutes... and I paid the price. Within ten minutes of leaving the house, threw up twice in the street and caught myself sick for the next whole day. Ward missionary activity was super fun as all of us won prizes and everyone was rushing to find names for the temple. How many names did we find in total? 32! 32 PEOPLE THAT ARE NOW PREPARING TO HAVE ORDINANCES DONE IN THE TEMPLE. HOW AWESOME. Loved doing the work to see the faces of youth and adults finding joy in family history work

SATURDAY: ANDDDD woke up sick worse and ended up going in divisions with Mama Galleta and the worse part is that she got sick while I was sick so the two of us were just sick in bed watching the Joseph Smith movie and talking. Of course even when Im sick, the Lord allows me to help others and it was revealed that Mama Galleta needed love and was starting to desire to leave the ward because of gossip and judgment she recieves as well. I shared with her my talk I had planned for tomorrow and in tears she said ¨Please share it. Thank you so much.¨ We had a good hug... well the best we could with aching and dying of stomachache and all. But it was a memorable sick day. (:

SUNDAY: Spoke in church. And never have I ever seen the ward so silent. The spirit was so strong and the words that my companion and I spoke sincerely touched the ward in a way never done before. Bishop almost hugged me thanking us for finally saying the truth. And everyone came up to us afterwards thanking us and in both the hours afterwards, everyone gave testimonies of the talks we spoke and committed to change. AND EVERYONE WENT TO VISIT MAMA GALLETA sick in bed and she cried testifying it was a miracle from the Lord. Also, had horrible news that Alvaro´s father died and was lightning bolt at the worst time possible. Minerva came to church in tears but boldly testified that she came because she knows that she has to go to God first before she can understand the wordly things. In ward council, we shared the situation. Everyones wallets came out and EVERY member donated money to them for funeral services and even offered jobs for PAblo and Minerva. The elders and us just sat in awe. The ward has officially changed and is leading Nealtican and has become such an example. All committed to accompany us in all of our lessons set for this week. Huejotzingo is a NEW ward. AMAZING. Went running all over Huejo ESPECIALLY when the biggest miracle of the week happened. Sister Cano called us saying she thought about what we taught her about how her family needs to stay together during this time and KAREN IS COMING HOME AND SHE STILL WANTS TO BE BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY: I broke down crying. I couldnt believe it. I love that girl so much and almost cry for her in my prayers every night and the Lord is giving her back. This Saturday will truly be a memorable day.

I LOVE this mission with all that I am. Honestly at the end of it, I have no idea what will come but I will fight with all I am to keep being the person I am now and even be better so that I can become more like my Father in Heaven.

I LOVE YOU ALL. Love you support and your prayers.

See you soon.
