WEEK 43: MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, LOOK AT YOURSELF AND MAKE A CHANGE

ALL IS WELL. Ladies and gentlemen, my new companion is Hermana Espinal and even though I am training her, she sincerely came here pretrained. SHE IS AMAZING. And we are working HARD to open this area and help out the ward and the people that are here.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: 1 Nephi 4:6-7, John 14:8-9, Matthew 10:42, John 21:3-7, D&C 107:23, Hebrews 3:1, D&C 121:34-42, Matthew 5:3-20, Matthew 13:24-30, Abraham 3:25, Matthew 6:19-34, Matthew 7:24-27, 3 Nephi 12:13, John 5:30, James 4:6,10, Isaiah 35:5-6, Matthew 11: 25-27, 1 Corinthians 12:14-31, Alma 1:26, Matthew 20:25-28, John 3:5

TUESDAY: Got to the area and just started getting to know all the leaders and members to win their confidence and GET TO WORK FAST. And it worked WONDERFULLY. First day, met our bishop and one of his counselors and won trust fast speaking about music and humbly asking in what way we can help the ward. We were immediately invited to ward council, to speak in church on Sunday AND to help out with the missionary activity. MIRACLE. Contacted A TON finding people. Found a town thats in our area and contacted it to death and found a teenager, Gabriel, and he wants to get baptized. Miracle.

WEDNESDAY: Working alot with the zone leaders (because we share a ward) and helping make plans to completely change this area and the missionary work here. Contacted in the street and something that my companion and I like to call CONTACT MIRACLES keep happening with us when people actually come up to us to visit them. Here this hardly ever happens. We know that it is through exact obedience we are seeing these miracles. Had 4 contact miracles in this day.

THURSDAY: Literally tore apart our area book finding, calling, and following up with as many people as we could. Lets just say I have about ten post it notes of investigators we have plans to find and meet in this week. STOKED. Set two more baptismal dates with Alvaro and Minerva, a couple who has been listening to the missionaries FOREVER and are finally willing to take a step forward. The only thing that is holding them back is Joseph Smith. Praying they can find a testimony with them. Contacted some more and a whole family stopped us in the middle of the street asking if I was single because their 13 year old teenager was interested in getting together. Immediately changed the subject and tied the awkward situation to the plan of salvation and BOOM they accepted us to teach them as a family.Ended the day with all of the mission leaders in our ward and won their confidence with showing all the work that weve done. Sad part is that their isnt as much unity with the bishopric of our ward with the elders. We don´t know why but were working together to show that our elders are just as hardworking as any elders and deserve respect and more trust.

FRIDAY: Had another contact miracle of a young man who just moved to Huejo and wants to be baptized. Crazy how these people just fall from that sky that Lord is preparing for us. Won the trust of another member who took us in her car and toured us to ALL the inactives and investigators in our area. LIFE SAVING MEMBER who saved us so much time. Also told her about the rough time the elders were having so we bought three cupcakes with three rubber duckies and left a little note from Bob MArley (three little birds) because they LOVE Bob Marley and hoping it will get them to be happy and animated to MAKE A CHANGE HERE. ( P.S it worked.) Ended the day feeling a weird feeling to check out the church and the mailbox in front (who knows why) and low and behold there was a letter from a young girl who wrote us begging us to teach her on Friday because she wants to get baptized. INCREDIBLE MIRACLE. The letter was a week old and NOONE had seen it. Such a marvelous experience.

SATURDAY: Taught a little boy english and promised him if he read the Book of Mormon in english, he´ll be mistaken for an American. He ecstatically accepted. I LOVE these members here as well. They are all DYING to help out in the work, just waiting for the energy and right time to come. This area has SO MUCH potencial. and I am so excited that Hermana Espinal and I have the opportunity to be apart of it.

SUNDAY: Church was incredible. All of us missionaries had the opportunity to speak and it was a slay with love..(plancha con amor, I sincerely cant remember how to say that) I spoke on a little bit of Micheal Jackson. If we want to make the world (ward) a better place, we have to look at our self and make a change And the members just FLOCKED afterwards with them willing to help out and serve in the work. SO HAPPY. Had an incredible opportunity to teach ALvaro and Minerva AND their son Pablo who after listening to a VERY spiritual lesson, my beautiful companion invited the son to be baptized and they all accepted with certainty that it was going to happen. OH I am so happy. This work has so many miracle and opprtunities to bring happiness WHEREVER you are. Even if I am around the corner from my other area THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WAITING TO HEAR THIS MESSAGE.

SO GO OUT THERE (yes I am talking to every person that is reading this email) AND TALK TO THE FIRST PERSON YOU SEE AND BEAR YOUR TESTIMONY.

It works wonderfully.
