It's Time to Change to God Knows Who I Am

TUESDAY: Had zone training which was unforgettable. Spiritual. Hilarious. And Memorable (: Had a fantastic hands on activity of running with a broken bucket of water to deliver it to another bucket explaining us and our obedience to the mission rules to bring the spirit to the lessons. A little confusing to explain but PERFECTLY performed. The spirit is an ADDICTION to have in every situation that you can. Squished in a tiny truck with two members to go see our golden investigators. Maritza and Ascension and his family. Maritza committed to read the book of mormon in a week.... THAT was her own commitment and she is just doing everything right. Just like her brother. Ascension as well is pushing right for his baptismal fecha and ALL of the members are looking for work for him. Had a wonderful family night with some less actives ALSO watching the video above which sincerely just gets me every time. It has become my favorite video.

WEDNESDAY: Intercambios with Hermana Duran was a day of miracles as I began the day with a prayer praying for someone I could do hard labor service. AND BOOM. We found a reference who was trimming her whole garden, so we went to help her for the whole morning. Had many great lessons with many of their investigators that are sincerely progressing. One investigator I was told right before was going to be difficult miraculously accepted us and after explaining a little on the plan of salvation so sweetly confirmed, ¨So what you`re saying, is that all of us are brothers and sisters?¨ I sincerely almost started crying from hearing this sweet simple truth. Even just the simplest part of this incredible plan touched her heart. Alsoooo, hehe mischevious me, Hermana Gonzales´ birthday is coming up next tuesday, so I took advantage of this opportunity being away from my companion and bought her the Puebla soccer jersey shes been dying to have as well as new backpack. Hope she loves it!!

THURSDAY: Had a lifechanging day where after talking about some things to refocus and change myself to lose myself even more in this work, in this day after not seeing much success. The entire night, I was praying crying out for the Lord to know what I need to do or change to become who He wants me to be. And in that morning after, everything became clear. I saw who I was before the mission, and I didn`t like all of it. And something Hermana Gonzales told me is that the mission is an opportunity to be reborn and become who the Lord wants us to become. And in that morning after, I tearfully gave myself completely to the Lord completely forgetting about the world. It`s hard to believe. But the experience was unforgettable. I received a very strong testimony of the Atonement, of the love of our Heavenly Father, and of Jesus Christ. A day I will never forget. So grateful for my companion for being by my side in this change for me and helping me open my eyes to so much more truth. Love her so much. She`s my sister.

FRIDAY: This morning, it was like the Lord was showering on us blessings. We found a whole family who became interested and in love with our message. Then, had the wonderful opportunity to have interviews with President where we received revelation about how we can find a new investigator from the old names we have in our area book. Working hard to find these people and help them learn about this incredible message we have. Personally, he shared with me 2 Nephi 28:30. Line upon line, precept upon precept. Those who receive, I will give unto them MORE. Basically president told me I`ve got more coming for me. Love this scripture. And for this week it has become my ponderizing scripture. (: Visited Ascension as well who their family is only borrowing the house they`re living in right now and they have nothing. Even reusing diapers for their children. We`re working SO hard with the members to befriend them and help them. Hoping for the Lord`s hand with them.

SATURDAY: Walked EVERYWHERE striving to find our old investigators for President`s challenge. The result? Many tan lines. Started a fast praying for help with our top two investigators right now that in this time that we have with them, they can come unto Christ and participate in these covenants. Had an incredible spiritual lesson with one of our old investigators watching ALSO the video above which touched the father of our investigator more than our investigator which actually shocked me. The story of the video was similar to his son`s life and seeing the change in the man in the story helped him recognize the change his son as well had returning back to... the Catholic church. BUT it´s a start and planted seeds (: Shared Alma 5:26 with a family who actually was studying Alma 5 before we got there. I shared how I found the verse when I was 11 looking up the word ´song´ in the index of the Book of Mormon and just ´chose´ that as my favorite scripture. But little did I know that it would make SO much more of an impact in my life and actually mean the WORLD to me now.

SUNDAY: Woke up bright and early to go pick up Ascension and his family to come to church. And the members flocked around them welcoming them. A member even has committed to pay for their family to travel with the ward to visit the temple before their baptism. Wow. Answer to prayers and an incredible response to the fast we just finished today. Fast works. Found our part member family watching general conference all together Carlos, Antonia, Luis, and Felipe. Tender special moment. First time they all watched conference together as a family. Then to finish off the week, Perry literally smelled us and found us in a members house. Crazy dog. But love him like crazy (:

AND THAT IS ANOTHER WEEK IN THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE. I LOVEEE IT.
