BUENO BUENO.
PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: 2 Corinthians 6:4-10, Alma 56:16-17, 44 (this ones my favorite for the week) and basically the rest of Alma is like the Book of Mormon version of the Avengers... so its super fun. TUESDAY: This weeks plan. MEET AND GET TO KNOW MEMBERS. So we did that... and when you do that in Nealitcan... well you get food. And when you eat a lot of food... you need to go to the bathroom. SO we went to the church to go real quick... and I just hear Hermana Gonzales freak out... a rat was in the bathroom. So in all the bravery that I could muster out of me, I took a rake and a chair and chased it out... Just imagine that for a little. Nazario and Dolores had their testimony meeting with us and by the end, we knew they wouldn´t progress...so we had to drop them, Sad. BUT went to a special mutual activity with our DL´s where we had a Q&A session with the youth about the missions. Great night and even talked to a recent convert who wants to serve a mission (reminded me a lot of Katelyn) and then shot some baskets with the youth. And throughout this entire day... the zone dog Negra followed us EVERYWHERE. Now I know why we dont have pets. WEDNESDAY: District meeting, Elder Gutierrez showed the Bridge video. I haven´t seen that video since a mutual activity at Bishops house forever ago, but WOW. The spirit and message of that video is unbelievable. I love it. Went to a service project with the DL´s and Elder Montoya and Cruz to rip the stems off pineapples for two hours. And I will say, it was actually super fun and now my Ronaldo jersey will forever smell like pineapples. YES. Then went and taught the primary activity on faith. MAN, that made me miss working with kids. But it was a great memory as we all planted sunflower seeds of ¨faith¨ Random guy walked up to us wanting us to teach him... but didn´t live in our area. Life of a missionary. Then had dinner with Hermana Jessica (: THURSDAY: In planning session, we COMPLETELY are renovating how were gonna work these last few weeks. We are going to begin teaching English classes, working in youth activities on missionary work and planning a ward activity to do a ward fast with all the members. Working with the members is the key to success, ya´ll. (Hna Gonzales is rubbing her texas words on me) Hermano Pedro and I designed little cards and handouts to give out to the people for classes THEYRE GOLD. Have pictures next week. Then, WERE MOVING PEOPLE. Found a house much closer to our area which is known as the MARIA here because a giant mural is below it... but hey LDS missionaries can live there too. Its a gorgeous view of the whole city. Pictures next week. Then did service for Mary Tere where we cooked food for her party and then in mission correlation, asked our ward mission leader for a blessing, thanks to the advice of Timmy Roberts on gaining trust from the members. IT WORKS. TRY IT. FRIDAY: Had breakfast with Antonia and her sons who have pretty much become brothers to us. She gave us homemade strawberry milkshakes. I died. Best tasting thing ever. Got fed full fish, crawfish, and shrimp, like right out of the ocean. Hermana Gonzales just turned to me and refused to eat it. Funniest thing ever. They ended up giving us tortas but Dad I am proud to say that I did eat it. Disgusting, but I ate it. Got homemade slingshots (like Zelda status) from members. They think I´m a pro. Yeah no, its just archery practice with Kruz and Bill and playing Zelda way too much. Had a family night with a part active family. We watched the Bridge video together and the less active son with his non-mormon wife told us in tears that hes repenting now and wants more than anything for his family to be sealed in the temple. VERY memorable moment. We all played spoons together as well...which it is becoming THE game here now. > > SATURDAY: Got piña coladas and got caught in the rain... or dust tornado I should say. Ate dinner with Ingrid and her mom and watched the mormon message of STOP USING YOUR PHONE. Because OH my goodness, it´s a blessing to not have my phone now because I can now see how much teenagers use them. UGH its sad. BUT it completely hit Ingrid, and SPOILER ALERT, she didnt even bring her phone to church on Sunday. Had a great lesson with a new man we found who wants to completely change his life but has been investigating many different churches and the last missionaries with him just gave him a BOM saying read 3 Nephi 11. DONT EVER DO THAT. He was so confused he told us and just came to the conclusion its a replica of the Bible. I then explained, the Book of Mormon is like a movie. You can´t just watch some random parts and call it good. You must start from the very beginning and watch it all the way through. He totally connected with this example and accepted us to return MIRACLE. Got a phone call from my old ward members Reni and Jessica who excitedly told me she´ll have her baby soon. Crazy blessed connection between the members here so that I can still love and support my old ward. THENNNN Hermana Francisca told us she´s pregnant! AT 41!!! So Mom, be careful, you´re not off the hook yet. SUNDAY: Random man showed up at the church after Relief Society asking to learn about the church. Of course we went but by the end of it, he told me in broken English ¨I love you. I want to marry you¨ Sweet guy, just needs the elders. SO we passed the reference. Then had Al Pastor tacos for dinner. I have finally come to the conclusion that I will eat these tacos for the food at my wedding. Period. Almost got eaten by a killer dog if Hermana Gonzales hadn´t reminded me to move to the left. Maybe an inch closer and I´d be dead... miracle (: Went and visited bishop as well where we ran into some american visitors, spanish teachers in the states and one actually knows Serene Michalsky from the stake. They thought I had perfect Spanish. SO not true but weird to hear English so much from other people. BUT that´s the week. Moving this week and also have zone conference with President. VERY excited for that and english classes and mutual activities coming as well. WERE HASTENING THE WORK. And it´s the best feeling in the world. NEVER WANT TO COME HOME See you soon. Monkey see, Monkey do, Hermana Abigail Creer
