BUENASSSS TARDESSS a todos. SO huge news. Dallin H. Oaks is coming to Puebla this Saturday to speak to the missionaries of what has now been recognizes in Salt Lake as the best mission in the world. WHAT. Its insane. Very very very excited to hear from an apostle of the Lord and will fill you all in on that experience next week. PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: Proverbs 31:20, 3 Nephi 11:7, Alma 5, and well... just the whole Book of Mormon. TUESDAY: MIracle that happened last night is that we contacted a reference who her family was in town and happened to be teaching their child how to walk. WHO walked to me.The father immediately just walked right up to us and said Mucho gusto. Me gustaria escuchar su mensage con mi familia. (Nice to meet you. I`d like my family and I to listen to your message) We just went wide eyed. THis never happens. But of course, we sat down right then and taught a GREAT lesson to their whole family. Had a great lunch time with a family in the ward who sincerely is the funniest group of people I`ve ever met. It`s like Cox Family 2.0 here. Had a rough lesson with an investigator who as we tried to teach her baptism... she was offended because she thought we were saying her baptism was invalid and incorrect and in this situation we just cant do anything. AGH I felt so bad. She just needs to have an open heart and accept us. But all was well in the end because I got to teach a member English. Jaja WEDNESDAY: Had district meeting in what was one of the coldest days so far. Got a bunch of letters from the ward. LOVE you guys. Then awkwardly had lunch in a house where they will not turn off the radio. But the sad part is that I do NOT recognize anything anymore. And so help me whatever song Adele made, I wish it never was made BECAUSE EVERYONE listens to it here on repeat. But Im just addicted to church music now haha Went to Maria and met one of the most upfront and questioning investigators ever. Cariña is a Jehovah`s witness but loves us and wants to learn of our religion. Like sincerely study it. So we now gotta do the same. Ingrid asked me to do her makeup for Prom. SHes the school princess. AGHH stoked. WEnt to a Young Women`s activity to play piano. They love it and I love playing for them. Was given a puppy because this one family loves us... but we cant keep it. SO it`s ours... just living there. Name is Manches (: THURSDAY: Had a ton of great lessons with people in Zacapechpan. Gonna see some success there very shortly thanks to a RM that lives there named Dante. THe only other guy here who has blue eyes. Then had a great lesson with Dolores and her husband who once again preached to us a ton but finally said ¨YOu guys are here Im sure to just make sure you have a place with the Lord in heaven¨ I immediately responded, ¨Actually I`m here because I have received so much happiness and blessings through this gospel and I want the people here to have the same. I don`t need to serve a mission to be saved. THe Lord loves us and wants us with him no matter what¨ He got very quiet and then said how now he has so much respect for us and we are welcome into his house whenever we would like. His children agreed to come to church this SUnday! FRIDAY: Had a great Relief Society activity with the ward. And we were asked to share an American game with the ward. WE TAUGHT THEM HOW TO PLAY SPOONS, well here its cucharas. And let me tell you, they are superrrr competitive. We also played a huge split game of Family Feud. And two months ago could I have done that? No.. but HOLY COW. Family Feud is so fun in SPanish. Try it. Then sent Ingrid off to her prom. Oh I felt like a mom sending off her child. SHe was so pretty. Had a great lesson on the Plan of Salvation with Jessica and all her kids. They were watching Hot Rod at the end. Heard the Babe Wait part in SPanish. FUnniest. Thing. Ever. SATURDAY: Had breakfast with our dueñas who made us waffles and strawberry milkshakes and then told us they want more money... so that was fun. THen saw Cariña again with her mom where we found that Cariña is actually very lost and very depressed and has had a horrible past where now she doesn`t even want to leave the house and feels that she is content to leave this life. All of us in tears, we testified of the change that we can feel through the gospel. The mother begged us to stay forever to help her daughter. But ofcourse we can`t do that but there`s ALWAYS someone who can be with us forever if we allow him to. Jesus Christ. Our next lesson? The Atonement. (Thanks Kate for your testimony) Went to a member`s birthday party where they fed us SO much. Found another appointment just from whistling for the attention. Here you have to whistle to get people to answer the door. And we as AMericans practice all the time in the streets. Then one of the hermanas that lives up stairs got strep throat so acted as doctor talking to President and helping her understand in SPanish how to cure her horrible illness. Felt good to not be the one sick (: SUNDAY: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD. Carina and her mom came to church along with Dolores´daughter and Jessica as always. It was incredible because sincerely every lesson and talk was exactly what they needed. Incredible. Then we contacted a man who has a huge SPiderman mural on his door and at first he said no to us but I started talking about SPiderman... he accepted us for an appointment this week. One thing I`ve learned here is you have to be a friend before you`ll get anywhere with anyone. We then went and contacted another member who was sick from the volcano and ended the day with Jessica telling us of how the street we live on is haunted. And ALL of her experiences of seeing and hearing ghosts since she`s lived there. Her poor kids were balling begging her mom to stop. She was asking if the church believes in ghosts and exorcisms. In US, no. Here? It is very VERY real. She only told us these because she said I look like someone who is from a horror movie and could possibly experience something here. Great. Well THATS the week. I love you all so so much and LOVE this mission so so much. ANd yes... I FINALLY have had my Spanish dream that I remember vividly completely in Spanish. And yes I was married to Cristiano Ronaldo and yes he was Mormon and all the missionaries and members and investigators were at my wedding. SO strange. BUt good to know I`ve really been initated into the mission by having THE dream of your mission language. ADELANTE Below: The view from the roof of our ¨hotel¨ Its the best.
