Buenassssss tardesssss mis amigos y familia
AGHHHH yes. I did have transfers. AND YES. I am with Nina Gonzales! The american missionary who connected with me before the mission and we´re already best friends. We are in Nealtican in a little ward in the middle of nowhere and neither of us know how to write the name of our ward... so we`ll figure that out later. BUT its very chill and by chill I mean cold, but we live in the same building as our sister training leaders and its beautiful. I`ll send pictures next week.
ponderizing scriptures are packed in my suitcases.... so next week (:
TUESDAY: So Francisco dropped us today....well tried. But thanks to personal study, something stuck out of the vision of the tree of life of how sometimes we really can`t see where we`re going and we get scared, but we need to trust in the Lord that we will arrive at the tree of life. And he broke down in tears begging to read the story for himself because he`d never felt something apply to him so much. But to help him feel more comfortable, we moved his baptismal date to the next week. Saw the Luna Guerrero family where the mother told us her husband was furious with the Book of Mormon so they don`t think they can see us anymore... sad. Went to ward council where little Reni taught me how to do hand clapping games in spanish. Im a pro now. Also played soccer with all the kids of the ward leaders. They think Then had my first English class with the family of Eriberto.... two months ago in my dreams I thought I could do this. Lord truly can bring miracles. Then the Catholic church next door was BLASTING ¨Feeling Good¨ by Michael Buble. I felt good in that moment. It was a happy moment.
WEDNESDAY: Last district meeting for this cambio! Ugh I love every one here so much. SUCH amazing servants of the Lord here. OH by the way, this week I made THE COOLEST book for the mission. Its a giant photo album with lines next to the photos where missionaries and members and investigators can sign. And everyone signed it today. By the end of my mission, this will be the coolest memory. Something I`ll cherish for the rest of my life. Well the mission already is something I`ll cherish for the rest of my life. Bought a birthday cake for one of our investigators this week... in which its customary to shove the head into the cake as tradition... I got the honors to do so... (: Went to see the Baxin Cruz family where Araceli told me that if I have transfers, shes not going to church. WHICH IS NOT GOOD. So have to teach them about the missionary purpose. Yes we love you. But we`re here on the Lord`s errand. And he`s got the whole world for us to teach. Went to see Monica too which wasn`t in our plans, but still we went based on the feelings of the spirit. She broke down in tears in fear of how she had no money to pay for her school so that she can get a job. She said she needed 500 pesos but couldnt find work anywhere and has a week to find the money. I grabbed my wallet, pulled out the 500 pesos, and said ¨El Señor siempre va a mostrar Sus milagros por medio de Sus representantes.¨ Of course she refused to accept it, but after much hugs and tears. She is now working and in school. Miracle to see that girl so happy (:
THURSDAY: Francisco dropped us again... for good. Sad, but its the Lord`s timing. Not ours. Went contacting with a member in our ward and found many news just from buying bread and singing in the street and buying tacos. ITS THAT EASY GUYS. You just talk to people and love the people and BOOM. People accept you and love you and see the light of Christ in you. If you`re worthy and obedient to maintain it.
FRIDAY: Saw Alejandrina for a little bit. Had lunch with a member who told us that her husband has been cheating on her for more than 20 years and she just allows it to happen. We talked about divorce for a while with her... Then said goodbye to the American family of Anny, Amelia, Alex, Alana, and James. That was hard. The poor girls were crying in my arms. Hopefully they progress in the gospel later in their life. Just from knowing them, I`ve seen so many changes in them. They`re amazing. Taught the guy we found from buying bread, Carlos, who broke down in tears saying he read the pamphlet on the plan of salvation we gave him and wants the happiness and blessings there. SO awesome. Then went and taught the member`s husband that is cheating on her (non member) and Hermana Wong and him were just arguing and arguing about doctrine and details. She got so angry and just turned to me to speak because I just was listening and observing not wanting to get involved. Said a little prayer to receive strength and the words to get this guy to understand and quit arguing and fighting. And ouch, I planched him. His wife dropped her jaw from my testimony and ¨duro¨ words. Her husband was silent. The spirit in that moment was uncontrollable. Wow. Never will forget that. He immediately changed. He told us he will finish the Book of Mormon before our next appointment and have an answer for us AND drove us home in his car and gave me a whole package of bandaids of my random bleeding foot that just spontaneously began bleeding during the lesson. TMI. Sorry (: But hey, the Lord`s working in him and I can see it.
SATURDAY: Saw Eriberto who told us he can feel this gospel changing him. And wants his grandpa to baptize him who ALSO is being taught by the zone leaders. Crazy to think we found them only four weeks ago and now theyre entire family is learning of the gospel. Went to Nexatengo where once again personal study allowed me to find a scripture that truly single handedly activated a completely menos activa in our ward. She broke down crying after I shared 2 Nephi 4 with her as she bore her testimony that this is the only scripture she remembers as it was the scripture the missionaries shared with her when she accepted to be baptized. She promised us she would be at church tomorrow. Which she was (: THEN went to the Bautista family for Luis´ birthday. Where they suprised us with a full out parody imitating us. Yes I recorded all of it. And yes it was in front of all of their family. Which yes, as missionaries, we can laugh at ourselves, BUT afterwards we taught a killer lesson to all of their catholic family members which left them all silent and humbled after we shared the Because of Him video with them and talked about our purpose. Great moment.
SUNDAY: Last Sunday in Revolucion. I definitely cried during sacrament meeting not wanting to leave. It was so hard. Everyone just said goodbye to me. I`m not even anywhere close to ending my mission but it`s already so hard to leave. And I hate it. The worst thing to say goodbye was to the Bautista family. They cannot say goodbye. BUT we already made plans for them to come and live with the family next year in Vegas! Fam, practice your Spanish. Theyre very fun. And also have invited me to attend their sealing which they have planned to have on my birthday!! IM SO EXCITED. Praying they`ll stay active to accomplish that goal. But they made us dinner and also a birthday cake for Hermana Wong who turned 26 today as well! And after a very teary goodbye, got the phonecall that HERMANA GONZALES IS MY NEW COMP AND NOW IM IN NEALITCAN. It is a blessing. And Im ready to work where the Lord once again has put me to begin again in a new area this marvelous work!
I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH. I feel your prayers and your love everyday. See you soon.
ADELANTE.
