Wise words of Eminem...

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: Matthew 10:39, Galatians 3:26-29, Galatians 4:1-7, D&C 6:32, Proverbs 3:5

TUESDAY: Soooo woke up sick and rested in bed till late afternoon. Then luckily we rested because heard someone being beat in a nearby neighbor´s house. Hermana Wong lovessss mysteries and we went on a ¨proselyting¨inspection of our neighbors and found nothing. So notified the police and hope things improve! Had ward council and then went and visited Eriberto our new investigator with a baptismal date!

WEDNESDAY: Sick again but still went to district meeting! The zone leaders bought all of us hot chocolate which was sincerely a miracle. Received a blessing from the leaders and was sent home to rest again. Got more hot chocolate when we got permission to go back out and work and found Aurora and Miguel and the Bautista family. Set baptismal date with Miguel! YES!

THURSDAY: If I havent already said, ITS FREEZING COLD AND POURING RAIN EVERYDAY THIS WEEK. So thats been fun. But still all of the missionaries in Atlixco bundled up and went to Izucar for a health conference with the area doctor! Got planched about how we need to eat healthier, clean more, and be wiser with our health. THEN they separated the elders and sisters and whipped out FLU SHOTS. Three of us just went right up to get shot but ALL the latina missionaries BALLED their eyes out. They were terrified. Good laugh. Then all our appointments cancelled so just walked and walked in the freezing pouring rain but loved every second of it.

FRIDAY: Got up bnght and early to go to the stake center so Jose Maria could have his baptism interview. Then found the runaway son of the Bautista family and hes agreed to come home only if were there... oh gosh. At lunch we had to eat with a family and another pair of elders.. so when it came to sharing the scripture.. it was so weird. We all realized HOW much we sound like each other. There sincerely is ¨missionary tone¨of voice. And we all have it. Went to see the Baxin Cruz family and their daughter opened up to me personally of how much of an influence I´ve been to her to see how much can grow from the experiences I´ve shared with her of my personal life. She then told me she is now preparing to serve a mission. GUYS A MONTH AGO SHE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO SAY A PRAYER. SHe has grown sooo much. I love her so much. We had a good cry together. Then combined with the zone leaders to team teach a family that lives in both our boundaries which also just testified of how much us missionaries have the same tone of voice. Good laughs.

SATURDAY: NOONE one was home this morning. Even the family we were supposed to eat with. So a nice old man gave us tortas on the side of the street. The american family, Anny, threw a party for her daughter so got to see all us Americans together again! Saw the Bautista family and sweet Ximena, their daughter, broke down in tears saying she had a dream that testified to her of the truthfulness of our church. And now SHES preparing to serve a mission as well. Then finally found the Luna Guerrero family of 9 now and after teaching my ¨treasure map¨metaphor of the gospel to them. (the treasure map was so cute. I´ll make another one so you guys can see it.) AND THEY ALL COMMITTED TO BAPTISM. No specific date yet but they all are so excited for it. Then had a family night with the Baxin-Cruz family and made a mural wall full of parts of the Family: A Proclamation to the world. ALL of their family was present which was awesome. THen I brought the magical game from Ellen of Heads Up to life here in Mexico and we played ¨Cabezas Arriba¨ and let me tell you all, IT IS A HIT. EVERYONE LOVESSSS IT. We were dying laughing. Guys, I´m sorry but I´m becoming a Mexican. THis place has literally become my home. I love it here. Had one of the sweetest experiences. Sweet little Aggie (the little girl I gave the Frozen necklace) was begging me to dance to the neighbors music (which was a total sock hop next door of Elvis Presley and all) so in the most dignified way, we did little dance moves together. I have never seen a girl so happy. And neither did her father as he broke down in tears watching us dance. He revealed to us that every night hes had a dream of Aggie crying under the bed and killed tragically and he´s been crying for something to make her laugh and be happy. He powerfully testified how he knows we are angels of the Lord and he wants to return to the church and all his family be baptized. WOW. We were all in tears by the end of that testimony. I just held little Aggie and attacked her with besos. Love that girl so much.

SUNDAY: REMEMBER THE DJ GUY OUR NEIGHBOR? HES GETTING BAPTIZED: yes, I am very happy. Ladies and gentlemen, Francisco is getting baptized. At lunch we ate hot dogs which just got the whole family asking me questions about American food. They DO NOT understand french fries dipped in Frosties. BUt I committed all them to when they go to the US, ORDER IN N OUT. Yeah, you´re welcome for the gift from heaven. If it were possible for food to be sent through mail, I WOULD LOVE INNOUT. THat is all. Went to a baptism with Eriberto so he could see how it works and was asked to play piano as always. EVERYONE was making requests afterwards of american music. Good karaoke time of Mexicans attempting to sing in English. Then with the wonderful family (and heated car) of Abraham we went to see the luna Guerrero family but the car borke down so we all just talked about church out on the street while fixing the car. Good memory. THEN had a testimony meeting with Alejandrina, Monica and Katia to set a baptismal date with Alejandrina. The Spirit in that moment literally couldve opened the heavens. EVERYONE present sincerely though angels were present. I extended to the invitation to be baptized with tears of joy and STILL she shut it down , but said she´s close to accepting. So PROGRESS.

So as cheezy as the music parody is this week, it is so true. You sincerely HAVE to lose yourself in this work, to be happy, to find success even in the little things, to truly LOVE and experience the joy of the gospel. Let your worldly life go. Forget your past. In this moment, youre a missionary and thats all that matters. So get out.Tell all discouragement to go to hell because that´s exactly where it came from. Go and serve. Work. Love. and Come what may. Words of wisdom from my mission president himself. And these words sparked a fire in me that I dont think anytime soon is going to blow out. Its growing. I´m growing. And I´m loving my mission. Every. Second. (: Love you all and all your prayers and support (:
