TUESDAY: Went teaching with our Relief Society president which just led to us finding a drunk man on the street who demanded us to sing for him. Funny yet strange moment. Went and ate and talked with Bishop and his family. That family is a family of God. I love them so much. Went to a little town realllyyyy far out of our area to have a family night with the 6 members that live out there. We watched Meet the Mormons and ate sour patch together. Good memory.
WEDNESDAY: District meeting and also had another family night in a little city far away called Santa Lucia with some members WITH Bishop and his family. It was so fun, so spiritual, and so full of love. PS I´m a brunette now... (:
THURSDAY: VERRRYYYY peaceful today for many different reasons. Had exchanges with our sister training leaders and I got to go to Metepec. Which I kid you not, is like a vacation spot. It is so beautiful and so calm. No cars, and the houses are beautiful and there are even waterfalls! Hermana Sanchez is an angel and we worked very well together. Set a baptismal date with one of her investigators which was a miracle. I translated an English mormon message into spanish as it played because that was all we had but I WAS SO SUPRISED at how fast I could translate. The spirit was so strong in that lesson. UNforgettable.
FRIDAY: Finishied up in Metepec and quickly went back to sweet old Revolucion for our mission leader correlation meeting... Abraham, our new mission leader, didnt know how to open the church with the new keys so all of us were stuck outside BUT thankfully because Abraham´s work is driving combies, we literally had our meeting all cramped in a combie talking. But it was cozy and warm and a memory we all are going to remember (: Then went contacting with Abraham and Elvira and now are asking me to teach them the gospel in ENglish so they can practice in English... that should be fun (:
SATURDAY: Washed windows of an old house for service with Hermana Mar, a recent GORGEOUS convert here, her baby is just as beautiful... but the thing about washing windows is here is it´s just throwing dirty water on glass and wiping it with a dirty rag... which does nothing but it was fun (: Then contacted a ton and found a mother who wants us to help her family become more united. When we went to eat, Hermana Fernando our poor neighbor was sad because his wife was out of town so on repeat about 42 times, he played full blast ¨When A Man loves a Woman¨ Sad funny but sweet. Ran into ALexia (friend from Instagram) AGAIN in the street and her friend gave us reference which became 2 new investigators for us. Then went back to find that family that wanted us to help them. FAMILY OF 7. And they all want to be baptized. MIRACLE.
SUNDAY: WEll.... I was asked by Bishop to planch the ward with a 10 minute talk in sacrament meeting. And apparently I succeeded. 4 months ago did I think that was possible? Absolutely not. But all I know is that I just let the Lord put the words in my mouth and he served well because when I finished all I remember is Bishop whistling and Hermano Neri (counselor) chuckled under his breath and gave me a high five. Bishop literally told me I´m a living miracle of the gift of tongues. Even though I don´t feel like that, it was a VERY kind compliment. WEnt in divisions with Lulu Tlahuel to contact our references and together WE FOUND SO MANY PEOPLE. But had to cut our time short because President Stellmon came to give the sister missionaries a special personal training. He told us he just wanted to come because he felt prompted to come and give us any help or any love we needed. Answer to prayers. He is a man called of God. Also helped us learn how to find investigators easier which was a miracle for us this week because WE FOUND 17 INVESTIGATORS. Our district leader literally screamed over the phone shocked by our numbers. STRENGTH OF THE LORD right there.
Song of the week is Little Things by Colbie Caillat. And I compare it to the Spirit. For something I have sincerely learned this week is that we can do NOTHING without the spirit. In order to have it, we must repent EVERY DAY, pray fervently and sincerely to be blessed with the spirit EVERY DAY, and use it when you have it EVERYDAY. And the little things it will do to you will take you over and you´ll just want to show everyone. We´ll literally be pleading ¨Dont leave me hanging on´¨ And for that, I am so grateful for the blessing of the gift of the Holy Ghost and encourage you all to use it.
