Ponderizing Scriptures:..... ya´ll have to wait till next week because I forgot my list. MORE NEXT WEEK.
TUESDAY: Had Zone Training which was FULL of practices to get better and better at teaching. Then had a PLANCHA lesson with one of our investigators who kept trying to prove our religion wrong and we answered every question with powerand authority. Guess who´s reading the Book of Mormon cover to cover now. Cool moment was that Hna Wong asked me when we had no plans what we should do and I instantly was prompted to visit two investigators who have ignored our knocks for three months practically BUT still went because the Spirit said and OF COURSE they answered and now their whole family has committed to coming to church this week. MIRACLE.
WEDNESDAY: BAYLEE TOONE IS A SAVIOR. For all you missionaries out there, READ THE DONALDSON PAPERS from a zone conference in LasVegas West mission. It has so many ways we can change the ways we teach and contact. Studied it and applied it today and IT WORKS. But rough part about today was while we ate today, Jurassic Park was playing and it was SUCH a distraction and we couldnt do anything about it. UGH ruined my concentration. Guys, the mission rules are for a good reason, WE CANT WORK WITHOUT EXACT OBEDIENCE. Sooo true.
THURSDAY: New Years Eve here is absolutely insane. More popular than Christmas. Contacted a ton of less actives talking about setting goals for this year. Mine are to read the Bible, D&C, Jesus the Christ and the Book of Mormon in English and Spanish. THen Bishop called us saying a super less active family was really sick and he wanted us to contact them. So we went and cheered them up by talking about Counting our Blessings. We went around talking about our blessings like our family and health and work... but the father was last and surprised us all by saying his most important blessing is his Heavenly Father. That was one of the most spiritual moments thus far in my mission. THeyre a beautiful family.
FRIDAY: Happy New Years! So its been an interesting day because the truth is my area has become a little bit more unsafe because the people here are recognizing that Im the only gringa here and are getting a little too comfortable with me... SO changed up my look. And the ward members have become aware as well and are OPEN ARMS with love worried for my safety. So DONT WORRY about me. Im in good hands as well as God´s hands. So don´t freak out if in the future pictures I look completely different. BUT anyways, had our first full out missionary correlation with the ward missionaries and if I haven´t said already, OUR NEW MISSION LEADER is a convert of three months. LIKE WOW: He´s amazing. THe mission work is going to grow so much with his help.
SATURDAY: Had french fries and BBQchicken today in a Mexican family´shouse.. shocked?yes. Blessed? yes. Hada great lesson with Delfina and Dolores about the Plan of Salvation which was perfect because she´s pregnant right now and wasreally touched by knowing where her beautiful baby is comingfrom. was SOO amazing. THEN ERIK CAMPOS got baptized. WHat an awesome kid. Really, for an eight year old, he understood how important this step was in his life. And his whole inactive family came. His brother Eutiqio spoke on the Holy Ghost which was AMAZING because 3 months ago he didn´t even really know how to explain it but with our help and theLord´s help, he´s like a mini missionary now.
SUNDAY: Sacrament meeting was my last testimony meeting (I think) here in Atlixco so OFCOURSE I was prompted to bear my testimony. And with tears in my eyes, I expressed my love for every one of the members andfor my Savior. Bishop before I ended asked me to sing Senor, Te Necesito because honestly the Spirit was so strong in that moment. Youcould hear a pin drop. And every. single. testimony. in that meeting was SO powerful. The last one was from a good friend in the ward who isnewerand bore his testimony of the impact I´ve personally made on the ward.I had a good cry there. But the funny part is he thought I was ending my mission... Nopeeee. Good laugh as well with him afterwards. A completely memorable meeting. Ate lamb´s leg today... so that was interesting. THEN we went on exchanges with two ex missionaries in our ward and I GOT TO GO WITH CLAUDIA. She is SUCH a powerful missionary. Look forward to doing exchanges with her again. Ended the night with a blessing from the Zone leaders for my safety and guidance and comfort.
