I Want To Wish You a Merry Christmas

Before I begin, imagine me belting this on a bus.... because yeah it happened. And everyone was laughing. Gold moment.

PONDERIZING SCRIPTURES: Moses 6: 31-34, Genesis 5:24, Psalms 101:6, Isaiah 30:21, Ephesians 5:1-2, Galatians 5:16, Colossians 2:6-7, 1 John 1:7, 2 John 1:5-6, D&C 107:99-100, Isaiah 41:10, PROVERBS 3:25-26, and D&C 38:15

TUESDAY: TRANSFERS, soooo after a crazy day of traveling and anticipating, I recieved my new companion. HERMANA WONG. Shes from Mexico... so don´t let her name fool you and she doesnt speak any english except for like ten words. And she. is . CRAZY. haha crazy full of laughter and just happiness. Almost too much but it keeps me busy. If I could characterize her in one thing, it would be an Asian Sorority missionary... haha And she talks to everyoneeee which was a total change but is keeping us SO busy and finding SO many people.

WEDNESDAY: District meeting was full of laughing. Hermana Wong just has ENERGY and jokes for days. So awesome. Haha we actually started talking to these teenagers in the street and turns out theyre part of the family of our landlord so yes... WERE TEACHING THE OWNER OF OUR HOUSE. Then contacted the area so everyone could meet Hermana Wong and they are shocked by how different she is. Its gonna take some adjusting because everyones kinda quiet BUT were gonna shake this area up. THEN THE COOLEST CHRISTMAS PARTY happened. Which was crazy because I kinda had to run it because everyone was asking me for help and to direct all this stuff BUT IT DID IT. and all worked out after literally running all over the area to pick up less actives and investigators all over. Our bishop and his wife and other members of the ward literally danced with machetes in this huge dance number. COOLEST thing Ive seen so far. THen the whole youth group in our ward acted out the Christmas carol and it was the sweetest thing ever. Bishop just thanked me for all my help and it just helped confirm to me that I CAN DO THIS. its crazy haha but I can do this.

THURSDAY: So Hermana Wong and I are learning very fast how we work together.... we both like to ¨planch¨which is basically saying be very direct with the spirit. Which at first shocks the members, but sure enough, they accept and actually do their commitments. Oh and remember the ¨evil ¨neighbors I always talk about who always play music? Yeah his names Francisco and hes a DJ for parties (figures it would be me to contact him) and he wants to come to church and learn more. CRAZY how he was there all along literally waiting for us to talk to him! ACT ON ALL PROMPTINGS OF THE SPIRIT.

FRIDAY: visited a ton of members strengthening them in their callings so we can make this ward the BEST ward ever. Then visited the Bautista family.. and he got really really open and really really personal withus. He has cancer and he´s dying and very worried for his family. PLEASE pray for him and his family that all will be well with them. Went to visit Sugel and Jonathan and their kids AND THEYRE MOVING. DANG IT. it was a very teary lesson for all of us. They kept thanking me and Hermana Salcedo for all of our help with their marriage and family and THEYRE GOING TO THE TEMPLE. They have officially set a date to be sealed and are starting fresh in a new job and new place. THE LORD LOVES THEM SO MUCH AND SO DO I. Will miss them so much.

SATURDAY: FOUR MONTHS IN THE MISH. sooo weird. still feels like I got here yesterday. COntacted a ton of the area to help Hermana Wong know more how we can help the ward specifically and THEN we had a FULL THANKSGIVING CHRISTMAS dinner here with the american families of Joni and Anny! It was soooo cool. Turkey, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and cheesecake. Like a family away from home. Joni I swear is like the older sister I never had. Love them a lot.

SUNDAY: Monica finalllyyyy got confirmed (: Oh shes so beautiful and just SHINES with the spirit. Church was crazy because I was asked to sing last minute and teach lastminute in sacrament meeting and in Principles of the Gospel. BUT it was fun and busy.Some new members in the ward thought that I was in the field for nine months. HAH. Funny. Ran into Sugel and her family and took some silly pictures with them: Visited with the ENTIRE baxin-cruz family for the first time. and were all doing a huge fast for each of them to progress in their individual needs whether thats progressing towards baptism or getting work off to attend church! ITSS SOOO COOOLLLL. Love the mission.

Just want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all. I challenge you all to make this Christmas special. I already know mine will be new and special. But YOU GUYS can do the same wherever you are. Serve, love, sing, share, and JUST BE HAPPY in this incredible time we have to really recognize that a Savior has been born for US. How joyful is that. Truly I love you all. And will be thinking and praying for you all SO much.
