OH MY WHAT A WEEK. I am so happy to say that this week I have seen a HUGE change in the work, in my mission, in my life!! HOW INCREDIBLE it is to see the power of the gospel literally change lives so fast.

And what has helped me much is have a ponderizing scripture... well multiple LOL and I plan to share them every week with you all so you can use them for yourselves (:

Matthew 9:22, Matthew 26:39, 1 Nephi 17: 50-51, 2 Nephi 4: 17-35, 2 Nephi 8: 15-16, 9-10, 25, 2 Nephi 22....

Yeah. Haha I like the scriptures a lot. Like a lot now.

MONDAY: So after writing, we were able to have family night with a family of recent converts. Leo is the littlest in their family and they LOVE to play with me. Holy cow it´s adorable. I was asked to teach about CHrist and the Atonement. So I gave a little lesson to the kids and gave them each a picture of Christ to put by their beds to always think of Christ and THEY DID. then after, THEY PLAYED BLINDMAN. I died. Playing the game my family has been playing for as long as I can remember was a joy. OH how much of a tender mercy. Love their family so much. SOooo cute. I love them to death.

TUESDAY: So this day will go down in the books as the day I completely changed for my mission. My day of decision as Gordon B. Hinckley would put it. The zone leaders had heard of my struggles and gave me a talk to reflect on during personal study. The miracle of a mission by Jeffrey R. Holland. If any words have pierced my heart more, I probably would be dead. I was brought to tears from the direct help this one talk gave me. I am forever greatful for it´s help. The part that got to me the most was when Elder HOlland compared the mission to the last minutes of a basketball game saying ¨I know you´re tired. I know you´re giving it everything you got, but the NEXT 18 MONTHS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT 18 MONTHS OF YOUR LIFE. GIve it your all and then you can rest forever. All I´m asking for is 18 months. Let´s go out there and do it.¨ Not sure if this was just my competitive sport-loving self triggering, but my whole perspective of the mission is changed. I ONLY HAVE 18 MONTHS to give everything I have to HEavenly Father. GO out there and SHOW this people his love. And all day as we just walked everywhere not having any success I was singing in my head Now or Never allllll dayyyy. My companion would just laugh as I would do little dances in the street running from door to door smiling. It was a GREAT day. A day I will always remember.

WEDNESDAY: Had district meeting... sad to find out an Elder in our district has to be sent home for surgery. IT was devastating. Praying for him and his family. THe district had me play If you could Hie to Kolob on piano to make us feel better. LOL they even filmed it to watch it back in their casas. Que chistoso. MIRACLE time: after 3 weeks of searching for this family, WE FOUND THEM AND OH HOW READY ARE THEY TO COME UNTO CHRIST. it was incredible. Then, we went with Hermana Alma Rosa and her husband to farmland, Santa lucia, to meet with menos activos and got a ton of free fruit from them showing their love for us coming out to see them. How sweet. Then another miracle. A family we visited´s daughter was having a fever and NEEDED a blessing. And we were there right when they needed it. It was beautiful.

THURSDAY: Had lunch with the ward choir director... guess who now is singing for two sundays in December... Lol. Singing His Hands and O Holy Night. Oh boi. Haha we´ll see how that goes. Then all our appointments fell through so we walked everywhere and our first counselor in our ward saw us dying and gave us free ice cream igain. And here´s another thing, the people here think I am way too skinny so they purposefully give me a ton of food to get me fat. Let´s just say, I was forced to eat 2 pints of lemon pie ice cream. It was delicious. Mom, I´m sorry. LOL Then our zone leaders ran into us in our area.... which they thought was their area... lol. THen for two huors straight, we made chocolate with the mother of one our investigators who isn´t allowing her to get baptized. SO hopefully our labor will soften her heart. She just likes talking to us and seeing our faces SO IN TIME CROSSING FINGERS. ANd then it pouredddd raining.

FRIDAY: So for those who are wondering about the hurricane near Puebla, all is well, we are not affected at all, though at first our Dl´s were concerned so starting this day they texted us asking us to wear our rain boots and coats... turned out to be the hottest day so far out here. LOL I ended up getting sick but was fine after some ibueprofen. MEt with Hna. Suhel and her kids. Ian loves taking pictures with me. But their marriage is struggling so praying for them also. MEt with Aurora and Miguel who exclaimed when they opened the door QUE MILAGROS!! lol wrong kind though. He had a dream I married his son and PUSHED continually for it to happen. Then I was forced to sing another song in spanish for them, but hey it helps them feel the spirit so what the heck. THEN after, they gave me a hymn book for the church that they found in a thrift shop down the street FROM 1941. IT is so cool and has pictures and testimonies of missionarties here from that time. SOOOO cool.

SATURDAY: Had lunch with the Romero family which is always a struggle because they´re the family that gives you a ton of food and are offended if you don´t eat it all. I had to eat four burritos. BUt afterwards the reward was incredible. They gave us four handsewed handkerchiefs personalized for each of us. Mine all had pineapples cause it´s my favorite fruit. SO SWEET.Then had lessons with investigators about the Book of Mormon and after testifying of it´s truth, to see them just handling the book with more care wasa tear-jerking. We invited two to be baptized and they said they´re going to pray about it but don´t think so... I almost started crying right there. It just hurt to see them have the truth in their hands and not SEE HOW AMAZING IT IS. and after having these thoughts all my discouraging thoughts came back and I cried once we got home. Felt prompted to just put a talk on I had on my jumpdrive randomly. HOLY COW how the spirit acts. It was Jeffrey R. Holland´s talk from last April. The exact talk that touched me before my mission. And oh how much more has it helped me in these days. Like a lightning strike in a summer storm, He will grab us and save us when we feel like we are falling and failing. Oh how grateful I was for that moment.

SUNDAY: So I fasted for 24 hours today in humble prayer for help with myself and our investigators. AND OH HOW IT HELPED. REmember Anny and her whole american family? THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY CAME TO CHURCH. ALL OF IT. And they loved it. Anny is so interested in the temple and family history. ANd her kids loves primary and singing songs. Her youngest was a struggle but the members flocked to her for help. She couldn´t stop smiling and it was the most amazing feeling in the world to see this change in their life. They have agreed to come every week rfom now on. BEST FEELING EVER. She is helping me s omuch as well with the language. We have lunch planned with them wednesday where she´s going to teach me more everyday language and I´m going to teach her the restoration!!! AGHHHHH. so cool. Then after, we didn´t really have appointments after dinner so we just relied on the spirit to know where to go, and OH how he guided us. WE felt prompted to go to meet a less active member and her family. The door was wide open and her daughter was hunched over struggling to breath. I immediately took her pulse. She was having a heart attack. We called the taxi company, paid for the taxi they couldn´t pay for, and rushed her family to the hospital. Still don´t know much but praying for sweet Brisa and hoping all is well.

It´s so strange how the Spirit works. But this week, I have seen so many miracles through it´s ´power. Love you all. And feel your love and spirit every day. Adelante hasta otra lunes!
